Proud Real Estate Partners with Tangtondee Project and Big Trees Group to Empower Prisoners through Arborist Training Program

Proud Real Estate Public Company Limited has partnered with the Tangtondee Project and Big Trees Group under the Thai Arboriculture Association to launch an introductory arborist training program for prisoners. The initiative aims to provide equal opportunities and improve the quality of life for prisoners through skill training and preparation for sustainable employment.

Support from Proud Real Estate

1. Funding for Training

  • Allocated a budget of 150,000 THB to support the introductory arborist training program held from September 9–13, 2024. The training aims to prepare 100 prisoners for real-world employment in the second phase of the project.

2. Promoting Awareness

  • Sponsored public awareness campaigns to highlight "equal opportunity for better lives and a sustainable society." These efforts aim to foster understanding and encourage public participation. Additionally, they will leverage the Social Giver platform to support continuous funding for long-term training activities, enabling the program to operate for one year and assist participants in becoming certified professionals.

3. Job Opportunities

  • Facilitated employment opportunities by connecting business partners, contractors, and affiliates to hire program participants, aligned with the company’s sustainable development policy.

4. Preparation for Arborist Certification

  • Supported pre-exam readiness for arborist certification by enhancing participants' skills, such as safe chainsaw operation and tree rescue techniques. Funding also covers daily wages, food, transportation, and mentorship costs for theoretical and practical preparation.

Success Metrics

1. Practical Application of Skills

  • Participants effectively apply the knowledge and skills gained to secure employment.

2. Improved Perception of Opportunities

  • Participants feel a renewed sense of confidence and recognition in society.

3. Achievement of Participation Targets

  • Phase 1: Introductory training for 100 participants on day one, followed by 30 participants on days four and five.
  • Phase 2: Real-world work experience for 10–15 participants.
  • Phase 3: Post-release progression for 3–5 participants entering the job market and 1–3 participants achieving professional certification.
